Job summary

The City of Kenosha is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker to perform a wide range of manual tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of parks, buildings and equipment. The role involves CDL-driven operations and outdoor labor in all weather conditions.

You will paint, mow, operate heavy equipment, assist with pool and greenhouse operations, and support event setups. Must be able to work long shifts during snow removal and maintain records as required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED or HSED.
• Must have a valid regular driver's license.
• Class B with Air Brakes required within 1 year of hire.
• Able to work continuous shifts up to 16 hours for snow plowing/ice removal.
• Minimum 1 year of construction/building maintenance experience.
• Experience driving a commercial motor vehicle is highly desired.
• May be required to pass post-offer physical, DMV record review and DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Paint buildings, equipment, tables, garbage cans and other items.
• Mow grass, weed control, plant trees and basic tree/shrub maintenance.
• Operate chain saw and wood chipper.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair play equipment.
• Assist with greenhouse operations.
