Job summary

The City of Orange is seeking a Parks and Facilities Attendant to provide staffing and supervision for 23 parks and city facilities during evenings and weekends. The role emphasizes customer service to residents, groups, and visitors, with basic custodial or maintenance duties and safety oversight.

Ideal candidates will have municipal customer service experience, custodial/maintenance skills, and a desire to positively impact the community while working outdoors in city parks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desirable.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• At least 1 year of custodial/maintenance experience.
• Possession of a valid California Driver License and auto insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties including cleaning and graffiti removal, restrooms restocking, and trash removal.
• Open, close, and secure buildings for activities, programs, and events.
• Monitor facility use and prepare amenities for patrons.
• Ensure safety by inspecting facilities and enforcing rules and regulations.
• Interact with the public and address patron questions and concerns.
• Maintain logs and prepare reports related to assigned activities.
