Job summary

North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Supervisor I (S) for Parks and Recreation. The role supervises facilities maintenance, coordinates with contractors, and plans renovations while ensuring safety and quality of work at state parks.

Minimum qualifications include a GED and 3 years in facility maintenance or construction, with cross-trades proficiency. A sign-on bonus is available, and the Recruitment Range starts at $55,088.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required with three years’ progressive facility maintenance or construction experience.
• Experience in at least three trades: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and/or auto mechanics.
• Knowledge of building codes and repair, maintenance, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements outside bid packages and monitors contractor work.
• Acts as liaison with local officials and regulatory agencies.
• Supervises and evaluates work of employees, temporary staff, and volunteers.
