Job summary

Wyoming State Parks seeks a Contracts Specialist to handle contract and permit administration for rentals, events, and leases, while supporting customer service at the HQ front desk. Occasional park-site inspections and backup coverage are part of the role, with travel to multiple parks across Wyoming.

The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, clear communication, and data entry, using Excel and the state’s reservation system to assist applicants and visitors.

Qualifications

• Preference for 1 year in business administration, contract monitoring, permitting, or customer service.
• Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, able to balance deadlines with public interactions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Comfortable learning a web-based reservation system and performing data entry.

Responsibilities

• Process and administer contracts, permits, and facility rentals with accuracy.
• Serve as primary administrative contact for permit applicants and the public.
• Provide front-desk backup coverage for the headquarters during absences.
• Assist visitors with Navigate ReserveWyoming.gov for bookings and permits.
• Occasional travel for site inspections and field engagement at state parks.
