Job summary

Saint Matthias Parish is seeking a Director of Parish Operations to support the Pastor and staff in managing the parish’s resources and administrative functions. The role requires expertise in accounting, HR, facilities management, and leadership to ensure efficient operations aligned with Gospel values.

The Director acts as liaison with the Archdiocese OPSS, oversees payroll and benefits, and collaborates with the Finance Council to maintain financial health and transparent reporting.

Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR/finance or church management.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant fields.
• Compliant with Diocesan Child and Youth Protection Policy.
• Strong administration, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee parish budget coordination with OPSS.
• Supervise the Facilities Manager and Sacristan/Custodian.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term maintenance plans for parish buildings and property.
• Coordinate with the Pastor and Finance Council on financial reporting.
