Job summary

The Catholic Diocese of Columbus is seeking a Business Manager to support the pastor by overseeing administration, finance, personnel, and facilities. The role leads staff, manages budgets, payroll, and compliance, and coordinates parish operations in line with Catholic values.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in business or related fields, nonprofit management experience, and proficiency with QuickBooks and MS Office. This is a full-time position in a church setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, nonprofit management, or related field.
• Experience in church, nonprofit, or comparable organizational management preferred.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise parish staff, including supervision, scheduling, and performance management.
• Manage parish finances, including budgeting, reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Administer personnel policies and ensure compliance with diocesan and legal requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance, repair, and scheduling for parish buildings and grounds.
• Support sacramental preparation processes and parish ministry coordination through staff oversight.
• Serve as a collaborative partner to the Pastor and parish leadership.
