Job summary

St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish in Charlottesville, VA seeks a part-time receptionist for the parish office. The role offers flexible shifts between 9:00am and 4:00pm, with 3–7 hour blocks and renegotiable schedules each semester.

Responsibilities include answering phones, replying to emails, greeting visitors, and scheduling mass intentions under supervision. The ideal candidate is a UVA student in good standing, with high school diploma, courtesy, confidentiality, and strong basic office

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate shows courtesy and professionalism in communication, confidentiality, and office operations.
• Must be proficient with Word, Excel, Google Calendars, Planning Center, and the parish database Camino.

Responsibilities

• Answer the phone and direct calls.
• Reply to email requests and greet visitors at the front desk.
• Schedule appointments and mass intentions.
• Perform general office tasks under supervision from the Supervisor of Internal Operations.
