Job summary

The St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center at the University of Colorado-Boulder seeks a part-time Facilities Assistant to support the Director of Facilities with cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of parish buildings and grounds. You will assist with renovations and ensure smooth operations for parish activities.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, lawn care, snow removal, event setup, and responding to facility needs. Morning shifts, 20 hours/week, $20/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable, responsible and responsive to facility needs.
• High school diploma required; maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools; cleaning and grounds maintenance expertise.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance of parish buildings, grounds, equipment, and facilities.
• Lawn care, landscaping, snow removal, and other seasonal grounds maintenance.
• General maintenance of structures not requiring licensed professionals.
• Inspect facilities and identify maintenance, safety, and repair needs.
• Cleaning of interior church and facilities; trash removal; set-up for events.
• Assist with emergency facility situations and ensure lighting is in proper working order.
