Job summary

Austindiocese is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to review parish cash receipts and disbursements, and to prepare financial reporting for multiple parishes. The role reports to the Manager of Catholic Schools and Parish Business Services and requires independent judgment and initiative.

Responsibilities include budgeting, reconciliations, and financial analyses for parish leadership, with emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality in a ministry-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited American university or equivalent.
• Two years of full-time wage-earning experience.
• One year of GL and bank reconciliations and AR invoicing experience.
• English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Process and record parish receipts, disbursements, and payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for parish and auxiliary orgs.
• Provide financial analyses to pastor and Finance Council.
• Prepare bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain monthly budgeting and reporting duties.
