Job summary

St. Mary Roman Catholic Parish Chandler is seeking a qualified Parish Finance Manager to oversee all accounting and financial reporting for St Mary Church, St Juan Diego Church, and St Mary-Basha Catholic School.

The role reports to the Pastor and collaborates with the Parish Finance Council to drive the mission of the parish. The position requires strong GAAP knowledge, 5+ years in accounting, and proficiency with Sage Intacct and related payroll systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in general accounting or commensurate experience.
• CPA and nonprofit background are a plus but not required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• GAAP knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll, cash management, investments, and fund accounting.
• Prepare timely financial reporting to the Pastor, Finance Council, and Diocese.
• Assist with annual operating and capital budgets, and fundraising campaigns.
• Attend Finance Council meetings and present financial line items.
• Maintain internal controls and segregation of duties around cash and reporting.
• Review month-end journal entries and reconcilifications.
• Oversee donation tracking and year-end Giving Statements.
