FosterAdopt Connect in the Kansas City area is seeking a dedicated Parent Support and Prevention Specialist to partner with families during some of their most challenging moments. You will provide supportive services, parenting education, advocacy, and resource connection to strengthen families and keep children safe.

This role empowers parents with tools and connections tailored to their needs, and it contributes to a community where every conversation and resource creates lasting positive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work (preferred) or related human services field.
  • Experience in collaborating within diverse, multidisciplinary teams and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to write clearly for a variety of audiences.
  • Travel required within surrounding counties.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted partner for families during challenging moments through supportive services, parenting education, advocacy, and resource connection.
  • Empower parents with tools, knowledge, and connections to community resources tailored to their needs.
  • Help strengthen families, promote child well-being, and prevent entry into foster care whenever safely possible.

Parent Support and Prevention Specialist

As a Parent Support and Prevention Specialist, you'll be a trusted partner for families during some of their most challenging moments. Through supportive services, parenting education, advocacy, and resource connection, you'll help strengthen families, promote child well-being, and prevent children from entering formal foster care whenever safely possible.
