Job summary

FosterAdopt Connect is hiring a Community Connections YouThrive(CCYT) Specialist to provide one-on-one services to young adults ages 17–26 who are or were in foster care. You will help determine goals for independence and connect them with community resources for a brighter future.

The role emphasizes building trust, clear communication, and travel to communities, with a mission-driven, supportive team culture in the Kansas/Missouri region.

Qualifications

• Personal lived experience in foster care, kinship care, homelessness, or related care systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong writing ability for diverse audiences.
• Ability to quickly establish rapport and trust.
• Travel required with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one services to young adults in the community (ages 17–26) who are or were in foster care.
• Assist in determining goals for a successful transition to independent adulthood.
• Support clients by linking to community resources and guidance.
