Job summary

FosterAdopt Connect in Wichita, KS seeks a Program Manager for the Community Connections YouThrive (CCYT) program. You will provide leadership and oversight for youth aging out of foster care, supervise staff, assure program quality, and build strong community partnerships.

This peer-to-peer model relies on lived experience to connect young adults with resources, with travel required and a Master’s degree preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Lived experience during childhood or adolescence in foster care or related care systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field required; Master’s preferred.
  • Two+ years of experience in nonprofit social service agencies; management experience preferred.
  • Travel required with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the CCYT program.
  • Oversee program operations, staff supervision and development, quality assurance, outcomes, and partnerships.
  • Ensure high-quality services for current and former foster youth (ages 17–26).
  • Guide a peer‑to‑peer model to build trust and meaningful connections.

Community Connections YouThrive (CCYT) Program Manager

The Community Connections YouThrive (CCYT) Program Manager provides leadership and oversight for the CCYT program, which serves current and former foster youth, ages 17–26, as they transition from foster care to independent adulthood. The Program Manager oversees program operations, staff supervision and development, quality assurance, program outcomes, and community partnerships while ensuring high‑quality services are provided to the young adults we serve.

CCYT is a peer‑to‑peer model, and lived experience helps build trust, credibility, and meaningful connections with young adults.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • Personal lived experience during childhood or adolescence in foster care, informal kinship care, homelessness, and/or mandatory family‑centered systems of care services in the home.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public administration, or a related human services field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience working in nonprofit social service agencies; management experience preferred.li>
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to supervise, support, and develop a cohesive team.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail, organization, and program quality.
  • Travel required with or without accommodation.
