Job summary

AVONDALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks a Part-Time Parent Outreach Liaison to engage families and coordinate on-campus events and parent education. You will work with school staff and community partners to promote partnerships that support student achievement and school culture.

The role requires confidentiality, organizational skills, evening availability, and the ability to lead volunteer activities. Reports to Building Administrator.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and correspondence.
• Must possess a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint clearance card.
• Proficient with basic computer software applications.
• Strong communication with parents, staff, and district personnel.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent record-keeping and organization.
• Willingness to work flexible and evening hours as needed.
• Capable of leading groups and coordinating volunteers.
• Must pass a background check on employment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between school personnel, parents/guardians, and the community.
• Collaborate with site teachers to provide parent education and events.
• Create, coordinate, and facilitate parent meetings.
• Foster awareness of the school community among visitors.
• Connect parents to leadership and volunteer opportunities.
• Compile information for the school website regarding parent involvement.
• Maintain parent information areas at the school site with resources and activities.
• Use data to provide programs addressing parental and school needs.
• Maintain confidential records and prepare reports for administration.
• Perform other related duties to ensure the efficient functioning of the parent program.
