Zusammenfassung

Walmart is seeking an on-site Manager, Automation Engineering, to lead the execution of complex automation and material handling projects at the Shippensburg site. You will coordinate multiple vendors, manage risk, and drive on-time, in-scope delivery through commissioning and go-live.

Responsibilities include budget control, cross-functional collaboration, and leveraging AI tools for improved project visibility and decision-making.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 2 years’ experience in engineering, supply chain, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in engineering, supply chain, or related area.
• Masters in Computer Engineering preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead day-to-day site execution of automation, material handling, conveyor, controls, and industrial racking installations from site readiness through commissioning and operational handoff.
• Maintain accountability for approved project scope, master schedule, milestones, financial commitments, and change control; identify variances and establish recovery plans.
• Manage equipment suppliers, system integrators, rack installers, contractors, and other project partners; monitor performance and enforce contractual commitments.
• Own and actively manage the project risk register; identify risks and establish mitigation plans with due dates.
• Maintain disciplined tracking of open issues, dependencies, decisions, and actions; drive issues to closure.
• Partner with Engineering, Construction, Operations, Reliability/Maintenance, Technology, Safety, Procurement, Finance, and external partners to align on commitments.
• Coordinate site access, installation sequencing, equipment delivery and staging, utilities, construction interfaces, and dependencies for successful installation.
• Lead coordination of testing, commissioning, punch-list closure, performance validation, training, documentation, and operational readiness for go-live.
• Evaluate scope changes for cost, schedule, and technical impacts; ensure changes are documented and approved.
