Job summary

HART is seeking a Superintendent of Paratransit Maintenance to oversee all maintenance operations for paratransit and light automotive fleets, ensuring safety, reliability, and on-time service delivery. Responsibilities include directing preventive and corrective maintenance, managing budgets, and leading a team of supervisors and technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 10 years of fleet maintenance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior supervisory or management role.
• Expertise in fleet maintenance practices.
• Proficiency with EAM software and its application in fleet maintenance operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with experience managing large teams.
• Proficiency in maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Operations Oversight: Manage readiness and availability of paratransit fleet to ensure uninterrupted mobility services.
• Supervision & Workforce Development: Lead maintenance supervisors, technicians, and staff with training and accountability.
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Direct inspections, repairs, and campaigns for paratransit vehicles including lift/ramp systems and HVAC.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to FTA, FDOT 14-90, ADA, and safety standards.
• Process Improvement: Introduce diagnostics, telematics, and fleet management technologies to reduce downtime.
