Job summary

You will supervise audits, coordinate with contractors, and guide maintenance personnel on systems such as AVLM/GPS and camera tech, ensuring readiness of AAR fleets and adherence to MTA policies.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate from an accredited college in XXXXX, (Delete if not applicable: ) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6 years of professional experience.
• 2 years of Managerial/Supervisory Experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct random audits of carriers and oversee contractor vehicles, facilities, and records to ensure fleet safety and compliance.
• May travel out of state for quality-control inspections at vehicle manufacturing plants.
• Inspect, test, and approve new buses at vendor manufacturing plants.
• Support On-Board Vehicle Surveillance Camera Systems, AVLM/GPS Systems and Zero Emissions.
• Investigate customer complaints related to Access‑A‑Ride (AAR) vehicles.
• Assist with R&D of vehicle equipment to enhance the AAR customer experience.
• Provide carrier maintenance personnel with training on vehicle equipment and systems.
• Evaluate AAR vehicle service readiness at expiration term of carrier contracts.
• Retirement and liquidation of AAR vehicles per MTA policy.
• Evaluate reliability of vehicle manufacturer’s warranty repairs.
