Job summary

Transdev in Maplewood, NJ is seeking an in-person Dispatcher to join our Essex County team. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals dedicated to safety.

The role requires 3-5 years’ dispatching experience; knowledge of paratransit operations and DOT compliance is beneficial. Strong communication, problem solving, and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' dispatching experience; prior paratransit driving experience may be beneficial.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with scheduling software and MS Office; ability to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee road service by tracking performance, routes and incidents.
• Provide customer support for trip questions, cancellations, no-shows.
• Manage emergencies for operators and liaise with services.
• Review route performance and adjust runs to maintain service.
