Must have or obtain an education aide permit from the Ohio Department of Education and meet the guidelines of the Every Student Succeeds Act. Not to exceed 6.5 paid hours per day with 30 minutes unpaid lunch. Responsible to building principal and/or designee.
1. Have earned at least 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours from an institution of higher education; 2. Hold at least an associate’s degree; or 3. Successfully completed the ODE State Mandated Para Assessment. If you have not met one of the three above, you must be willing to successfully complete the Ohio Para Assessment.
Paraprofessionals may be required to perform various medical and/or health‑related procedures, including lifting, toileting, and feeding, as part of their job duties. In situations where invasive medical procedures are required, specific training will be provided.
