Lakewood City Schools is seeking a dedicated Educational Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year at Roosevelt Elementary School. This role requires working Monday through Friday for not over six hours and 15 minutes daily, assisting in special education classrooms.
Applicants must be willing to undergo training in crisis prevention and hold an education aide permit. Responsibilities include supporting students, performing health-related tasks such as toileting and feeding, and working under the direction of the principal.
Paraprofessional, Special Education: Roosevelt; 2026-2027 school year; Monday through Friday, not to exceed six hours and 15 minutes per day with 30 minutes unpaid lunch; must be willing to be trained in crisis prevention intervention training; must have or obtain an education aide permit from the Ohio Department of Education and meet the guidelines of Every Student Succeeds Act; responsible to building principal and/or designee.
Paraprofessionals may be required to perform various medical and/or health-related procedures, including lifting, toileting, and feeding, as a part of their job duties. In situations where invasive medical procedures are required, specific training will be provided.
