Job summary

The Boston Public Schools are seeking a Teacher/Coach for Paraprofessional PD Facilitator within the Office of Teacher Leadership and Development. This stipend position will design training and provide coaching to paraprofessional facilitators, aligning with BTU/BPS Paraprofessional Professional Development Team.

Candidates must be a current BPS employee with extensive PD experience across early childhood to middle school, and must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience leading professional development and/or facilitating adult learning.
• Experience working collaboratively with paraprofessionals in a classroom setting.
• Minimum of 5 Years of Service in Boston Public Schools, with experience relevant to classroom specific environment.
• Must have Grades K-0 to grade 3 and/or grades 3 to grade 8 Classroom experience.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.
• A deeply held and unyielding belief in the overarching mission of public education.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead Paraprofessional Facilitator Training sessions October 2026 - February 2027 (20 hours)( Online or In-person)
• Facilitator coaching sessions (whole and small group) - March, April, May 2027 - 10 hrs
• Attend and coach Paraprofessional PD Facilitators as they teach their 10-hour professional development course (four 2.5 hours sessions) for BPS paraprofessionals between February - May 2027 (as agreed upon with Paraprofessional PD Facilitators)
• Planning and Prep time on their own
• Lead the Celebration of Paraprofessional Facilitators as they conclude their program year - June 2027 - 1hr
