Job summary

Huntley Community School District 158 is seeking a Paraprofessional - Job Coach to supervise students with special needs at job and internship sites, and to provide education, training and support within employment services. The role requires flexibility for scheduling and close collaboration with the Transition Specialist and families, employers, and the team.

The position is part of the LIGHT Program, with duties across multiple sites and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must hold an ELS Paraprofessional license or Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Good written and oral communication skills with all staff, parents, and students.
• Basic math and computer skills, including Google Suite and general office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students with special needs at their job and internships.
• Provide education, training and support within employment services.
• Collaborate with the Transition Specialist and family, employer to promote natural supports.
• Accommodate flexible scheduling; work day may fluctuate based on program needs.
