Huntley Community School District 158 seeks a Paraprofessional 1:1 Aide at Huntley High School for the 2026/2027 school year. The role supports a student with special needs, follows a strict schedule, and helps maintain safety during the school day.

Responsibilities include assisting with academics and daily routines, supporting the teacher to ensure progress toward IEP goals, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or PEL.
• Good written and oral communication with staff, parents and students.
• Basic math and computer skills, plus general office skills.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines. Will assist the student(s) in following a strict schedule and maintaining his/her safety while school is in session. Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

must hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL). Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students. Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed.
