Job summary

ConvenientMD is seeking a dedicated Paramedic (EMT) to join our urgent care team as an Urgent Care Technician. You will provide high-quality patient care, support clinic operations, and collaborate with medical providers in a fast-paced environment.

Must be a nationally registered EMT/Paramedic with IV placement experience and BLS certification. Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts at multiple ConvenientMD locations within travel distance is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed paramedic (preferably nationally certified) with prior IV placement/monitoring experience.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association/Red Cross (not CPR/ACLS online-only).
• Proactive communicator capable of clear written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable using or learning electronic medical records systems such as Experity.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient triage by measuring vitals and documenting history.
• Assist with patient exams and prepare equipment and documentation for providers.
• Conduct diagnostic testing including vision, hearing, drug screens, breath alcohol, spirometry, and point-of-care tests (strep, flu, RSV, SARS-CoV-2, glucose, lipid panel, urinalysis).
• Provide cardiac and airway management (ECG, AED, nebulizers, oxygen).
• Deliver wound care, immunizations, and medication administration per regulations.
• Maintain patient records and communicate results and treatment plans to patients.
