Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CA State Paramedic License is required.
• CA State Driver's License is required.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP/BTLS or PHTLS certification is required.
• ICS 100/200/700/800 certifications are required.
• CA Ambulance Driver's License is required.
• Medical Examiner's Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best action per Paramedic protocols.
• Use defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction and IV fluids for care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR image.
