The role pays $37.11–$59.42 per hour and involves providing advanced patient care, with leadership on the scene and driving ambulances on 911 responses.

Minimum qualifications include a CA State Paramedic License, CA Driver's License, and current certs (BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS).

Qualifications

• ICS 100,200,700 and 800
• CA Ambulance Driver's License
• Medical Examiner's Certificate

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while following Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
