Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CA State Paramedic License required.
• CA State Driver’s License required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS certifications required.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• ICS 100,200,700 and 800 training.
• CA Ambulance Driver's License and Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action.
• Utilize paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and community relations.
