Job summary

Harris Regional Medical Center in Sylva, NC is seeking a Paramedic to join our EMS team. This full-time role offers a varied schedule (24/72 or 12-hour shifts) with rotating weekends and a mission to deliver high-quality emergency care across the community.

The ideal candidate holds a NC Paramedic license (or National Registry), with 2+ years of paramedic experience and essential CPR/ALS credentials. Join us to contribute to patient care and community health with dedicated teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Current North Carolina Paramedic license or National Registry preferred.
• Two years' experience as a full-time Paramedic desired.
• CPR and ALS/ACLS, PALS/PEPP certifications required or preferred.
• BTLS/PHTLS/ITLS/TECC or TCCC training; must acquire within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and provide life support.
• Ensure unit is equipped, stocked, and prepared for incidents.
• Be responsible for shift scheduling and coverage when needed.

Education

High School Diploma

Associate's degree or higher preferred

Current North Carolina Paramedic license
