Job summary

Harris Regional Medical Center in Sylva, North Carolina, seeks a dedicated Paramedic to join our EMS team. You will respond to emergencies and provide advanced and basic life support while ensuring the unit is prepared and stocked for rapid responses.

The role requires a NC Paramedic license (National Registry preferred), CPR and ACLS/ALS, and a willingness to obtain PALS/PEPP and other trauma certifications within six months. Shift schedules include days, nights, and 24-hour coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Current North Carolina Paramedic license required; National Registry preferred.
• Two years' experience as a full-time Paramedic is desired.
• CPR, ACLS/ALS, and PALS or PEPP certifications required or obtained.
• BTLS/PHTLS/ITLS/TECC or TCCC to be acquired within 6 months and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and provide advanced and basic life support.
• Ensure the assigned unit is properly equipped, stocked, and prepared to respond to incidents.
• Be responsible for shift coverage and scheduling when needed.
• Work a mix of days, nights, and 24-hour shifts per Harris EMS operations.
