Job summary

Waverly Health Center is seeking a Paramedic to provide life-saving care in pre-hospital and hospital settings. The role involves airway management, medications, IV therapy, and trauma care, under physician supervision and Iowa EMS guidelines.

Candidates should be graduates of an accredited Paramedic program with Iowa certification (RN-Exemptpath also considered). Strong teamwork and documentation skills are essential to support patient care and department operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program and Iowa Paramedic certification, or RN Exempt Paramedic per Iowa statutes.
• Must maintain a valid driving record.
• Previous paramedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency pre-hospital care including airway management, medications, IVs, and trauma care.
• Deliver hospital-based patient care under physician direction and Iowa EMS guidelines.
• Operate and maintain ambulance equipment and vehicles; complete documentation in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team and participate in departmental committees as assigned.
