Waverly Health Center seeks a Paramedic to provide critical patient care across pre-hospital and hospital settings. The role involves 12-hour shifts, airway and IV management, medication administration, and collaboration with medical teams to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities include routine vehicle checks, documentation, and support across departments. Requires Paramedic certification, Iowa scope knowledge, and fluent English; prior Paramedic experience preferred.

Formación

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Paramedic program and possess valid Iowa Paramedic certification; OR meet requirements to be an RN Exempt Paramedic as specified by the State of Iowa Bureau of Emergency and Trauma Services.
• Must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record.
• Previous experience as a Paramedic preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of emergency care equipment, vehicle operation and maintenance, and advanced Paramedic procedures.
• Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including online training modules, timesheet and performance appraisal system.

Responsabilidades

• Emergency Patient Care: Administers life support care to sick and injured persons in pre-hospital setting as authorized and directed by a physician, within Iowa EMS Scope of Practice guidelines.
• Hospital Patient Care: Provides patient care in hospital setting as authorized and directed by a physician, within Iowa EMS Scope of Practice guidelines.
• Respiratory Therapy Care: Provides patient care in the Respiratory Therapy department as outlined by department policies; orders from physician.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on ambulance equipment and vehicles, including daily vehicle checks.
• Maintains department living quarters, performing cleaning duties daily.
• Completes all reports and documentation in a timely manner.
• Assists within the department as requested: administrative duties, committees.
• Promotes and maintains positive working relationships intra- and inter-departmentally.
