Waverly Health Center is seeking a qualified Paramedic to provide critical care in pre-hospital and hospital settings. The role requires strong clinical skills, patient advocacy, and teamwork across departments.

Responsibilities include airway management, IV therapy, EKGs, and medication administration, with shifts including 12-hour days and 2nd shift. A valid Iowa Paramedic certification and English fluency are required.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program with valid Iowa Paramedic certification.
• Must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record.
• Previous experience as a Paramedic preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of emergency care equipment, vehicle operation and advanced paramedical procedures.
• Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including training modules and timesheet systems.
• Must read, speak, and write fluent English.

Responsabilidades

• Administers life support care to sick and injured in pre-hospital settings as directed by a physician.
• Provides hospital patient care in the hospital setting per physician guidance.
• Assists in respiratory therapy and bronchodilator administration.
• Performs routine maintenance on ambulance equipment and vehicles.
• Completes all reports and documentation promptly.
• Supports administrative duties and departmental committees as assigned.
