Job summary

Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX is seeking a Paramedic (EMT-P) for a fast-paced Emergency Department. This PRN evening shift (3pm–3am) may include weekends and holidays.

You will work closely with physicians, RNs, and therapy teams, delivering high-quality patient care and documenting in the electronic health record. Training and growth opportunities are available within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Administers IV fluid without additives, saline flush, IV antibiotics, all IV medications excluding controlled and RSI medications. ACLS drugs (including drips) using barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations. All IM and oral medications excluding controlled drugs. Plans the care of the patient
• Completes accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Provides consistent attention to airway, intake, elimination, sleep, rest, mobility and hygiene needs
• Applies antiembolic stockings and sequential compression devices
• Cervical collar management
• External defibrillation
• Nasal cannula or oxygen mask application
• Oral airway insertion and removal
• Ultrasound-guided peripheral IV Access
• Draw blood from ports
• Other duties as assigned by the care team
