TMC Bonham is seeking an ED Paramedic to provide high-quality care for patients of all ages within the emergency department. The role supports the ED physician and RN team, performing essential emergency procedures and data collection.
Responsibilities include ECG interpretation, IV therapy, and initiating approved protocol orders within the ED. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with RNs and medical staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care and adherence to hospital protocols.
The Paramedic will be able to provide quality care to patients of all ages in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the facility. The ED Paramedic reports to the RN for shift assignments and direction of shift duties as assigned. The Paramedic will be responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients under the supervision of the ED Physician/RN. Under the direction of a health‑care practitioner, the Paramedic provides patient care within a defined scope of practice that includes patient care/observation, specified treatments and procedures; provision of environmental and personal safety, and effective communication. The Paramedic will also collect pertinent data within their certification scope of responsibilities and chart appropriately. Works in collaboration with RNs and Medical Providers to provide patient care to medical and trauma patients utilizing advanced skills and judgment. Paramedics will be responsible for ECG interpretation, IV therapy, and initiation of approved protocol orders and guidelines for patients in the ED setting. Other duties as assigned.
