Texas Health HEB is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a PRN mid shift. The role involves patient assessment, care planning, and continuous monitoring within a high-energy ED team.

Responsibilities

  • Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates intervention effectiveness.
  • Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control into care.
  • Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED) - PRN III Mid Shift

Work location: Texas Health HEB 1600 Hospital Parkway TX 76022

Work hours: PRN Level III/per diem, Mid Shift 11a - 11p; minimum requirement: 6 shifts per 6 weeks schedule, 2 weekend shifts per 6 weeks and 1 major and 2 minor holiday shifts a year

Here’s What You Need
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse
  • 1 year of Emergency experience strongly preferred
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
  • NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 90 days of hireENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 12 months required
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course within 12 months required
What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
