Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a PRN Chaperone Medical Technician in Nogales, AZ, offering night shifts. The role requires BLS and EMT-Paramedic certification, a Tier 4 security clearance, and at least one year of EMT experience within the last 24 months. Local residency is required to start.

Responsibilities include detainee intake, vital signs, coordinating care with medical staff, and documenting all interactions. This position is on-site with humanitarian health services.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.

• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start.
• Must be local to Nogales, AZ area.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical histories and complete paperwork for detainees entering facilities.
• Take vital signs and refer medical problems to Physician/NP/PA.
• Assist with medical appointments, emergencies and sick calls, document detainee complaints.
• Record detainee contacts with signatures and stamps.
• Ensure provider orders are implemented and coordinated with staff.
• Coordinate referrals to off-site providers and record-keeping per policy.

Pay: $17.69 + $4.93/hr

Requirements

• BLS certification required.
• Must have and maintain current state Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic certification
• Must have at least one year experience within the last 24 months.
• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start.
• Must be local

Type Of Work

• Obtains medical histories and completes necessary paperwork on detainees entering the facilities including vital signs. Any medical problems are referred to the Physician, and/or NP/PA.
• Assists with medical appointments, emergencies and sick call to include taking vital signs and documenting detainee’s medical complaints.
• Documents all detainee contacts, followed by their signature and name stamp.
• Ensures the medical provider’s orders are implemented.
• Coordinates health care needs of detainees with other staff members.
• Coordinates referrals to off-site providers as required.
• Performs record keeping functions in accordance with program policies.

Must be COMFORTABLE with all age groups 0-99.
