Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Must hold EMT-Paramedic certification.
• At least 1 year of experience within the last 24 months.
• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start.
• Must be local to the posting area.

Responsibilities

• Obtains medical histories and vital signs for detainees and completes necessary paperwork.
• Assists with medical appointments, emergencies and sick calls, including taking vital signs and documenting complaints.
• Documents all detainee contacts, with signature and name stamp.
• Ensures orders from the medical provider are implemented.
• Coordinates health care needs of detainees with other staff members and coordinates referrals to off-site providers.
• Performs record keeping functions in accordance with program policies.

Schedule

• 48-Hour work week
• Day, Night, and Weekend shifts

Pay: $20.36 + $4.93/hr

Requirements

• BLS certification required.
• Must have and maintain current state Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic certification
• Must have at least one year experience within the last 24 months.
• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start.
• Must be local

Must be COMFORTABLE with all age groups 0-99.

Type Of Work

• Obtains medical histories and completes necessary paperwork on detainees entering the facilities including vital signs. Any medical problems are referred to the Physician, and/or NP/PA.
• Assists with medical appointments, emergencies and sick call to include taking vital signs and documenting detainee’s medical complaints.
• Documents all detainee contacts, followed by their signature and name stamp.
• Ensures the medical provider’s orders are implemented.
• Coordinates health care needs of detainees with other staff members.
• Coordinates referrals to off‑site providers as required.
• Performs record keeping functions in accordance with program policies.
