Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking a Paramedic/EMT for on-site medical support in Buffalo, NY. The role includes taking detainee vitals, histories, and coordinating with medical staff to ensure timely care.

Requirements include BLS and EMT–Paramedic certification, Tier 4 security clearance, and at least one year of recent experience. Candidates must be local and comfortable caring for individuals aged 0–99.

Qualifications

• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start.
• Must be local to the duty location.
• Must be comfortable with all age groups 0–99.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical histories and complete paperwork for detainees entering facilities, including vital signs.
• Assist with medical appointments, emergencies, and sick calls, including recording vital signs and complaints.
• Document detainee contacts with signature and name stamp.
• Ensure provider orders are implemented.
• Coordinate detainees' health care needs with other staff.
• Coordinate referrals to off-site providers as needed.
• Perform record-keeping according to program policies.

Overview

Schedule

48‑hour work week. Day, night, and weekend shifts.

Pay

$19.65 plus $4.93 per hour (additional).

Requirements

• Must be local.

Type Of Work

• Obtain medical histories and complete necessary paperwork on detainees entering the facilities, including vital signs.
• Assist with medical appointments, emergencies and sick call, including taking vital signs and documenting detainee’s medical complaints.
• Document all detainee contacts, followed by their signature and name stamp.
• Ensure the medical provider’s orders are implemented.
• Coordinate health care needs of detainees with other staff members.
• Coordinate referrals to off‑site providers as required.
• Perform record‑keeping functions in accordance with program policies.
