Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking qualified healthcare professionals for full-time roles in San Diego to support detainee health services, including intake histories and vital signs. This position requires EMT-Paramedic certification and CPR/BLS, with at least one year of recent experience.

The role includes coordinating with physicians and NP/PA, documenting medical contacts, and ensuring orders are carried out. Local candidates only, with a 48-hour work week and day, night, and weekend shifts.

• At least one year experience within the last 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtains medical histories and completes necessary paperwork for detainees entering facilities.
• Takes vital signs and documents detainees' medical complaints.
• Assists with medical appointments, emergencies and sick calls as needed.
• Ensures provider orders are implemented and coordinated with health staff.
• Coordinates referrals to off-site providers when required.
• Performs routine record-keeping according to program policies.

SCHEDULE:

• 48-Hour work week
• Day, Night, and Weekend shifts
• Pay: $22.04/hr + $4.93

REQUIREMENTS:

• CPR/ BLS certification required.
• Must have and maintain current state Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic certification
• Must have at least one year experience within the last 24 months.
• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start.
• Must be local

TYPE OF WORK:

• Obtains medical histories and completes necessary paperwork on detainees entering the facilities including vital signs. Any medical problems are referred to the Physician, and/or NP/PA.
• Assists with medical appointments, emergencies and sick call to include taking vital signs and documenting detainee’s medical complaints.
• Documents all detainee contacts, followed by their signature and name stamp.
• Ensures the medical provider’s orders are implemented.
• Coordinates health care needs of detainees with other staff members.
• Coordinates referrals to off-site providers as required.
• Performs record keeping functions in accordance with program policies.
