Qualifications

• Licensure by the Kentucky Board of EMS is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are necessary for this role.

Paramedic - Ambulance Services

PRN - Variance in schedule/as needed

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured.

2. Administer direct care to patients of all age groups under the supervision of an emergency medical physician, emergency physician's assistant, or emergency advanced registered nurse practitioner, or follow approved EMS medical protocols during patient transport.

3. Ensure compliance with hospital and department policies, as well as paramedic scope of practice.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Licensure by the Kentucky Board of EMS

• Valid Kentucky Motor Vehicle Operator's License

• Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association

• Valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment

• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association

• Additional certifications and specialty training as required by the Kentucky Board of EMS
