Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations in Joliet, IL. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

The role requires an EMT-Paramedic license in IL, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years of clinical experience. The position is part-time with night and weekend availability and hourly pay starting at $25+.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed EMT-Paramedic in IL.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility; manage informed consent, medical history, AIDS education, self-exclusion, physical exam, SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOP.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and follow EHS guidance.
• Provide Pandemic Coordinator support when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
