Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville is seeking a part-time Paramedic to join our Transport EMS team. The role delivers advanced life support and direct patient care under medical direction across all ages, ensuring policy adherence and proper documentation.

Required are a KY Paramedic license, BLS, ACLS, and other state EMS certifications, along with a valid driver’s license. The position is 24 hours per week, night shifts, with a focus on clinical excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky Paramedic license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Other Kentucky EMS certifications as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ambulance/EMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced life support care to patients of all ages under medical direction.
• Perform ambulance transport within paramedic scope of practice.
• Complete documentation and patient care reports promptly.
• Maintain vehicle readiness, equipment, and ALS gear.
• Prioritize transport of multiple patients and coordinate care delivery.

Administers direct care to the patient of all age groups under the direction of an emergency medical physician, emergency physician’s assistant, and emergency advanced registered nurse practitioner or utilizes approved EMS medical protocols if transporting a patient.
