Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking an EMT-Paramedic to provide direct patient care within a hospital setting. You will work under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses, while ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and accurate documentation of care.

Qualified candidates hold EMT-Paramedic, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with a readiness to complete EKG testing and additional certifications within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Ohio EMT-Paramedic certification.
• Complete Intermediate EKG test within 3 months of hire.
• PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care duties under the direction of a Physician and as assigned by a Registered Nurse.
• Maintains patient safety and confidentiality; maintains accurate and timely documentation of care reflecting patient condition, treatment, and response.
