Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Paramedic for a three 12-hour night shift schedule (7pm–7:30am) in the Emergency Department at Grove City. You will provide patient care, administer meds, perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and assist with trauma and resuscitation operations.

Required are Paramedic certification in Ohio, ACLS, BLS; PALS preferred. High school diploma or GED and 2–4 years of care experience are expected, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School / GED. Basic patient care skills, EKG and phlebotomy training required.

Responsibilities

• Initiates respiratory interventions and oxygen therapy per physician orders.
• Establishes IV/IO access and uses ultrasound for access as needed.
• Interprets cardiac rhythms and initiates treatment (CPR/defibrillation).
• Transports and monitors patients in telemetry and non-telemetry units.
• Maintains radio communication with EMS and hospital staff.
• Performs patient care activities delegated by the RN in a timely manner.
• Administers medications per policies and guidelines.
• Performs EKGs and phlebotomy and collects specimens as ordered.
• Supports trauma, stroke, STEMI and sepsis alerts and resuscitation.
