Job summary

Mount Carmel Grove City is seeking a Paramedic to join the Emergency Department on a night schedule. The role supports patient care with EKG interpretation, IV/IO access, medication administration and ongoing monitoring. Requires Ohio paramedic certification, ACLS, BLS; PALS preferred.

Night shifts are 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. Minimum qualifications include high school or GED and completion of basic patient care, EKG, and phlebotomy training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Coursework including basic patient care, EKG, and phlebotomy required.
• Current Ohio Paramedic Certification.
• ACLS required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider required.
• PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates respiratory interventions per physician order or protocol.
• Starts and manages IV/IO access as directed; uses ultrasound guidance.
• Interprets cardiac rhythms and initiates CPR/defibrillation when needed.
• Transports and monitors patients; maintains radio communication.
• Administers medications per policy and orders; follows physician directives.
• Performs triage-related tasks and supports trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis alerts.
• Performs CLIA-waived testing, phlebotomy, EKG, and basic patient care duties.
