Job summary

Qualifications

• Mathematical Skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Certificates, Licenses: Alabama EMSP Paramedic license, Healthcare Provider CPR, EVOC; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assess nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
• Stabilizes heart rhythm on pulseless, nonbreathing patient and monitors cardiac status.
• Performs endotracheal intubation to open airways and ventilate.
• Administers injections and IV fluids; administer medications.
• Transports patients to treatment center and coordinates with medical staff.
• Keeps records and reports; restocks supplies and maintains equipment.
