Job summary

Mercy EMS is seeking a Paramedic (EMT-P) to deliver direct patient care under the Medical Director's guidance. The role includes assessment, stabilization, and transport, with duties extending to clerical tasks and equipment maintenance.

Applicants must hold a state Paramedic license, a valid driver's license, and meet minimum age and certification requirements. Preferred candidates have Hazmat awareness, ACLS at hire, and PALS within 6 months, with the ability to work in difficult terrains and

Qualifications

• Licensure: Paramedic (EMT-P) license for the state of practice, valid driving license.
• Experience: Applicants must be at least 19 years of age.
• Certifications: Hazmat awareness, ACLS at hire, PALS within 6 months.
• Mobility: unimpaired mobility to access patients in difficult terrain and environments.
• Physical: able to perform CPR, lifting, and patient handling under varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, evaluation and medical rescue.
• Access, stabilize, evacuate and transport patients to appropriate destinations.
• Perform clerical and maintenance duties as assigned.
• Operate in challenging environments and in close proximity to danger.
