Job summary

Mercy EMS is seeking a Paramedic to provide direct patient care, rapid assessment, and advanced medical rescue to access, stabilize, evacuate, and transport patients to appropriate destinations. The role includes clerical duties and collaboration with a team to manage equipment and patients in challenging environments.

Applicants must hold a state Paramedic license and a valid driving license; be at least 19 years old; and obtain Hazmat awareness, ACLS at hire, and PALS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Paramedic license for the state of practice; Valid driving license.
• Applicants must be at least 19 years of age.
• Hazmat awareness level training; ACLS at hire; PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Must be able to respond quickly to ambulance and access patients in difficult terrain; able to lift and move equipment and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic/advanced medical rescue to access, stabilize, evacuate and transport patients.
• Perform clerical and maintenance duties as assigned.
• Work with team to carry equipment and patients in varied and potentially dangerous environments.
