Job summary

Mercy EMS is seeking a dedicated Paramedic (EMT-P) to deliver direct patient care, assess and stabilize patients, and coordinate rapid transport to appropriate facilities. The role demands mobility, the ability to navigate difficult terrain, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams in high-stress settings.

Requires 19+ years, a state Paramedic license, Hazmat awareness, ACLS at hire, and PALS within 6 months. The position includes clerical duties and adherence to Mercy policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Licensure: Paramedic (EMT-P) license for the state of practice.
• Hazmat awareness level training.
• ACLS certification required at hire.
• PALS certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Unimpaired mobility and ability to respond quickly in challenging environments.
• Pre-hire and annual fitness for duty testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, stabilization, and transport.
• Access patients in difficult terrain and work in hazardous environments.
• Perform clerical and maintenance duties as assigned.
• Coordinate with EMS and hospital teams per Mercy standards.
