Job summary

Mercy EMS is seeking a Paramedic (EMT-P) to provide direct patient care, assessment, stabilization, and transport under the Medical Director and Mercy protocols. This role includes operating in challenging environments and performing related duties as required.

Required credentials include a Paramedic license, Hazmat awareness, ACLS at hire, PALS within 6 months, and a valid driver’s license, with a minimum age of 19. Physical demands are significant and readiness for duty tests is required.

Qualifications

• Education: None.
• Paramedic (EMT-P) license required for state of practice.
• Hazmat awareness level training required.
• ACLS at hire; PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Must have a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and medical rescue.
• Access, stabilize, evacuate, and transport patients per Mercy EMS protocols.
• Perform clerical and maintenance duties as assigned.
